"I want to commend you for creating such a raw and hand-drawn style iconography/component library. You go into deep details during phases of the challenge, providing me with some insights that I wouldn't usually go for. I like how it covers a range of devices/platforms and products for multiple scenarios."

A whiteboard challenge is a problem-solving exercise that is typically conducted during a job interview for a UX / UI Design position. It's called a whiteboard challenge because the interviewee is usually given a whiteboard or a piece of paper and a marker and asked to solve a design-related problem while explaining their thought process out loud to the interviewer.
2.
The goal is to assess your design skills and problem-solving abilities. It's your time to shine, demonstrating that you have mastered the design principles, you can think creatively and critically, and your communication skills. The session usually takes 30 minutes, can handle many forms, and can be based on various design problems, ranging from simple visual design tasks to complex systems design problems.
3.
Whiteboard challenges have become an essential part of the hiring process from big companies like Meta, Amazon, Google, and Spotify and from a thousand other small and medium companies in the competitive tech industries.
This means that one day or another, you will face it, and it’d be great to get prepared. On top of that, such sessions can be a source of great angst for many new and aspiring (or even experienced) UX designers if they don’t have the right tools, frameworks, and training and have to think on their feet under pressure.
